Why careful review matters
The presentence report is used by the sentencing court and may later be relied upon by the Bureau of Prisons for custody location, classification and programming needs. Probation officers may also use it for reentry planning and supervision. Review the report carefully with counsel and use the proper court process for addressing disputed information.
